thank you. i never bothered about the screws and took notice about this thing with the octave to be fine.

  8. xorcyst1 says:

    hey here’s an idea …
hey here’s an idea how about you mention that when you turn the screw on the bridge saddle the harmonic goes out of tune so then you have to tune the string again. in most cases this is a vicious cycle where you tune your string then tune the screw and tune the string and tune the screw until the saddle screw comes out. no guide seems to mention this.

  11. LuisWahWah says:

    this way of …
this way of adjusting the intonation doesn’t work as well as if you do it by comparing the 5th harmonic on one string to the 7th harmonic in the next string.

    Listen kids, do …
Listen kids, do yourselves a favor; go to the guitar store with your Strat. Talk to the guitar Tech about what strings you should be using, and by that I mean string size, not manufacturer. There are many manufacturers of guitar strings, just pick one. I myself like Ernie Ball Slinky strings, but like I said it’s just a personal OPINION. If you’re a newbie, you probably want light strings .009-.042. Then ask him to do a complete set-up on your guitar, about $40.00, and well worth it.
