What’s the Difference bettween Classic Guitars and Acoustic Guitars? and the different types of strings?
I am a beginner and I’m using my dad’s old guitar and I think it’s a classic guitar, based on shape. But what is the difference as far as sound, difficulty, and how does it compare with acoustic guitars? Also I can’t tell the difference on strings so if someone could help that would be great.
Acoustic simply means that it is designed to produce sound without electricity. Classical guitars are nylon stringed acoustic guitars, although the exact shape, size , materials, and construction techniques vary from steel string acoustics. If the smallest strings are steel it is not a classical, if the smallest strings are nylon, it may be a classical or a "Folk" guitar. I love classical guitars’ sound and ease of playing and primarily practice on them. They are easier to play and sound better, to me, than steel string acoustics. You can get a bit more volume out of a steel string.
I’ll try to find you a chart or list of different acoustics and give you the link below.

theres nothing in it difficulty wise, however if you are to play classical then you should really have proper training. The acoustic strings are often steel instead of nylon which makes the sound slightly more edgy.
